The iconic profile of Gates’s time-tested Schecter axes has been reimagined for the cutting edge of modern musicality, transforming the eye-catching aesthetics of his longstanding signature model into a headless herald of all things power, performance, and panache, much to the dazzle and delight of Sweetwater’s Guitar Workshop. The Custom-7 TR Headless is teeming with tone-crafting potential, thanks to its triumvirate of premium tonewoods and scorching, signature Synyster Gates Schecter-crafted pickups, while its 3-piece neck, chambered body, and Ultra Access construction give you unfettered access to its sound-crafting array. As audiovisual style abounds, this 7-string sonic slayer pulls no punches in running the gamut of performance possibilities, from “Bat Country” to “Nobody,” and everywhere else this headless haymaker is sure to take you.

Like Gates’s time spent studying at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, California, a formidable foundation is essential to any musical effort, and this Schecter Custom-7 TR Headless spares no effort in providing an explosive, versatile, and eye-catching sonic cornerstone. Its maple-capped mahogany body is joined by a set-neck-constructed 3-piece mahogany neck. As a tonewood, mahogany is revered for its blossoming harmonics, rich overtones, robust mids, and balanced dynamic range, with incredible responsiveness to the play styles of individual guitarists. The sonic attributes of maple are a natural marriage to the properties of mahogany, thanks to its spectrum-spanning brightness, shimmering warmth, and impeccable articulation.
