The feel of a baritone often takes some getting used to— but toss the M-1007B over your shoulder, and you’ll be immediately impressed by ESP’s attention to detail when it comes to comfort. It starts with the beautiful quilted maple-topped alder body, which features an enormous backside body contour that allows the M-1007B to rest flush against your body for a more connected feel. That commanding feel continues up the 3-piece set-through maple neck that’s been carved to ESP’s extra-thin “U” standard, offering a shape that will play both comfortably and confidently as your fingers move across the Macassar ebony fingerboard from the 48mm nut all the way up to the 24th extra-jumbo fret.
